UCA-NI Pharmacy Conference

Regulatory Challenges in Pharmacy Practice
Saturday 1 February 2020
Crowne Plaza, Shaws Bridge, Belfast

Recent years have seen the implementation of significant changes in the regulation of pharmacy practice.

While the objective of such changes is primarily to improve patient care, changes also add additional challenges for pharmacists working in day-to-day practice. It is essential that pharmacists – and those who run and are responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical services – are familiar with and understand what these regulations – legal, ethical and governance – are, and how they impact and define contemporary, professional practice.

This one-day professional conference is designed to do this.

Whether you’re a pharmaceutical contractor, a community pharmacy manager, a locum, a practice-based pharmacist or a stakeholder organisation,  this conference will – in addition to six hours of CPD – provide you with an update on changes to the laws and ethics governing pharmacies and pharmacy practice and will help you to understand the relationship between law, ethics and good governance.

You will also be updated on what’s new in issues such as: medicinal cannabis, vaping for tobacco control, opiate harm reduction strategies, adverse event recording, controlled drug recording and falsified medicines directive.

Come and join us and take part in the discussion with the experts.
